CAST

Shaun Aylward

Shaun Aylward

Actor

From Pirouettes on stage as 'Billy Elliot' to the natural performance of the cheeky 'Artful Dodger' amateur productions were truly where I found my love for performing. All this led to my first role in a feature film little to be known that at the age of eleven I would be directed by the incredible 'Martin Scorsese' still something I can't quite fathom. I continued my love for acting with making my mum (diehard EastEnders fan) very proud with the opportunity of playing the role of 'Callum' in EastEnders. Acting has always been my passion however I also have a huge love for hospitality having worked in a bar since I was seventeen and grown into a more than competent mixologist. Huge football fan having supported Arsenal my whole life I would say I'm accustomed to huge highs and lows.

As a young actor from Romford trying to break into film, my determination to succeed and do what I love is my driving force to keep on going. People fascinate me, and acting enables me to experience and learn about different walks of life, and tell their stories.

I have an array of theatre experience, but film and TV has always been an ongoing love and goal of mine. At the age of 3 I pointed at the TV and told my mum that’s what I wanted to do when I grew up, and I’ll keep on trying until that day happens. Acting is quite simply the only career for me.

CREW

Ollie Callon Hine

Ollie Callon Hine

Script Writer

To contribute to my film career so far, I have written two feature films and now two short films, one of which I am directing after the SetReady Course. I am completely self taught in script writing and have been gaining more and more experience ever since picking up my first screenwriting book, Save the Cat! By Blake Snyder.

I want to work in the film industry as it’s somewhere where my imagination can flourish and be free to create something that brings a message or an important story that I think should be portrayed. Film is a media platform that many gravitate towards and being able to bring joy and happiness to people is a feeling that cannot be beaten.

I am from Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, living there for 5 years and I previously lived in Marlow, Buckinghamshire. I am about as English as you could get with my dad being 99% from Nottingham. Fortunately I can say my mum adds a little more to my heritage than just that!

Ben Thorn

Ben Thorn

Composer

I'm Ben, a musician and media composer from Sutton Coldfield.
Making music for films requires a film, so far in my career I've been my own filmmaker, creating short projects for show reels.
My goals in life is to have a positive impact on people. I believe that working on films to serve a story greater than the sum of its parts is how I can do this. Some of my greatest inspiration comes from the work of Spike Lee and Terence Blanchard. Working as a reminder to our past, so that we can be better.
