IF WE BE FRIENDS
IF WE BE FRIENDS
After six years apart, twelve flawed, former friends are brought together again to solve a game that has been designed especially for them. However, in order to do so, they must first own parts of their pasts that they’d rather keep secret
Hailing from Surrey, with 11 years of youth theatre experience and training from 3 Drama Schools, I’ve worked on countless theatre productions and have performed in the feature film “An Assassin Walks Through the Trees”, as well as, performing in many short films, including: “Flightless” and “I Bit the Lemon.” The latter of which has, so far, been selected for 10 Festivals, winning 5 awards.
Whilst nothing beats the rush of the stage, the authenticity and nuance of screen is incredible. Films have the ability to change the world and it is my honour to be a part of that.
My first experiences in film were writing and acting in several student films in college. I’ve also worked on a shoot for an advertising campaign for Canvas student accommodation.
Being able to express your creativity through performing in your career is a valuable and rare opportunity. I want to be part of a community that appreciates the art form as more than a hobby.

I have had previous experience in film, starring in student films. I would like to work in film because I’m so captivated by the world of film and what it can offer to its audience, it is so powerful because it can transport you to a unique world, providing you with a sense of encouragement, inspiration and validation. Film is something which binds the whole world together and there’s nothing more magical, they tell important stories, I would love to tell these stories in the future and to one day inspire others. I was involved with a short film production, 'Bestie', back in late 2019. My other credits have been mainly within Theatre. I graduated East 15 Acting School - Cert of Higher Education - in 2018. Later, I completed the MN Academy 'Acting for Camera' course in December 2020, whilst also moving my life across the country from my home city of Gloucester, to London, in January 2020. Film and Theatre have always been passions of mine, and I truly believe if you can earn a living whilst doing the thing you love, then you're doing life right.
After graduating from Middlesex University, studying Theatre Arts in London, I learned that expanding into film was a logical step. Challenging my subtly and nuiance when acting has always been my aim, to produce authentic characters. Working in film has helped to develop a fresh, disciplined approach. Before, having the opportunity to be involved with some short films and writing my own projects in 2021, my debut came with working on 'Mind Over Matter' in early 2020. Looking forward, I hope to continue learning on the Set Ready course, continuing the transition into professional working environments, and develop my process.
I am a 21 year old actress from Berkshire.
Whilst I have no professional experience in film to date, I have performed in two feature films and one short-film which only grew my love for the industry.
I've always believed art is something that has the ability to make an audience feel something; whether that be joy and acts as a distraction from the world or contemplation and makes them question it and if I can be a part of something that has the power to make people feel, then I think as an actress, I have succeeded.
I have done a number of short projects involving various different editing styles and special effects. Including animation and acting.
I've always enjoyed film from a young age. I have many ideas which I wish to bring to life through the art of cinema.

With a background in fine art and ambition to delve deeper into moving image and film, I’m excited to begin my journey into the industry. While my end goal is to direct and write films my current focus is within the art department; costume, makeup and set design are as integral to the narrative as the dialogue and I believe they are key to grounding the story into reality, helping the viewers get lost in the world before them. With a keen interest in all things experimental I’m hoping to bring a fresh perspective and push boundaries within film.
I have done no previous work in film before joining the NYFA. However, part of the reason I joined was because I love the process of creating a fipm with the sets the connection, as I believe that things that happen off camera are just as important on things on camera. Clare Cahill is an independent producer based in Bournemouth UK. As well as developing a slate of films that represent distinct voices, she also teaches film as a Senior Lecturer at the Arts University in Bournemouth and is exploring the potentials of new and emerging technologies for film production and distribution.
Born in New Zealand into an Air Force family, when she was 6 the family moved to the idyllic Samoan islands where there was no TV and the local cinema played endless reruns of Bruce Lee movies. However, when the weather conditions were favourable, the weak pirate TV signal from American Samoa brought the magic of film, particularly the golden age of Hollywood to life. Polynesian culture is a culture rich in mythology and storytelling, through story and voice, and this experience left a lasting legacy on Clare's approach to producing.
Bringing together her people management, project management and scheduling/logistics skills and experience, with a calm and largely implacable demeanour Clare has become known as a very effective Producer, with her experience as Line Producer, Assistant Director and Production Manager, and her particular expertise in the lower budgets of independent film.
