When the nucleus of his social circle Bucky dies, his close friendship group begins to unravel when certain secrets are revealed after his funeral, thanks to an unsuspecting surprise guest - who’s revelations mean nothing will ever be the same again.
I have been in an advert for an app and been an extra in two programs. I love acting more than anything I’ve ever done and it allows me to become someone else for a brief time. I’m from Essex
I have previously starred in numerous short films/music videos and SA work on major productions such as Sex Education
I want to work in film because I love the fact that every job allows you to learn something new, whether it's from a character or the film making itself
I am from Abertilley in the South Wales Valleys and am currently living in Cardiff
This if my first official film credit and experience in a professional film setting, however I have done freelance acting on youtube for over a year now recreating Hollywood's most iconic film/Tv roles. I want to work in film because I believe the lack of diversity within the industry needs to desperately change. It makes no sense that we are classed as the minority in a business that is supposed to represent the real world on our TV screens, yet depicts only a minority of it; the true irony is that we are the global majority. I want to be part of representing an authentic portrayal of the world on our TV screens. I am from West London.
I have done alot of stage work at college, plays, I had my own show through my self written comedic monologues, I done pantomines and front of house security for the theatre, i want to persue my acting career as an actor in film /television as I know that is where I belong as a person my biggest passion in life, not in it for the money the fame just the work, i find it incredible, I am originally from London however live up the North East durham.
Ashlee-Rose Brisly is an English-Brazilian actress/writer, based in Sussex. Growing up inspired by Hollywood A-Listers and the infinite possibilities that film allows, her interest in telling diverse and emotionally detailed stories that educate and entertain audiences across various roles has become a strong driving force for her film career. After 14 years in theatre, performing lead roles across plays, pantomimes and musicals, Brisley moved from stage to screen work in 2019 and has acted in eight short films. 2021 will see Brisley star in six new titles as well as working on original scripts and her debut as a Producer.
I’m Bristol-based, I have years of experience with theatre acting and devising, alongside a few acting-for-camera courses. I find the nature of acting for camera to be much more natural than theatre, and I the buzz I get from working with other actors on screen is the most important reason in choosing a film career. I have a keen interest in physical theatre, and use this approach with all of my
roles - I think physicality is the key to finding the character inside yourself.
I am from Grimsby. I haven’t worked in film before, most of my experience has come from stage acting however I’d love to work more in film
This is my first experience in film, after spending my childhood in amateur theatre. I’m excited to make the next step and embrace the industry I have such a passion for. I’m 17 and from Birmingham.
I am from a small town called Farnham in Surrey. I have always been interested in the world of film and TV ever since I was little and I was inspired by actors such as Clint Eastwood and Marlon Brando to pursue a career in it. My experience is mainly stage work but I am hoping the NYFA will kick start my journey on camera
I have performed in a few short films as a part of one of my units at college along with a small scene on the breakthrough course but otherwise no professional experience. I want to work in film, I’m hoping to develop a wider foundation of skills when it comes to acting. I am from Oxford.
I have worked on college projects and written scripts before the course. Since starting the course I’ve been making contacts for future projects. I want to create my ideas and work with likeminded individuals. I’m from Chatham, Kent.
This will be my first official Movie made and I want to work in film because I am a story teller. I love writing and creating art out of it- I am also a poet and proud to say a publisher will be publishing my poetry book this year. I then wish to move onto novels, but script writing is the career I want. I have a true passion for writing and have had some Theatre scripts short listed for performances, and there is nothing more beautiful, as a writer, than to see your work come to life. I am originally from Albania but I was raised in London and have been here for twenty years now.
My name is Tomas Spacil and I am an international student studying Film, Radio and Television Production. Beside studying at University, I work as a photographer, a cinematographer and a production runner. One of the biggest achievements during my studies was working as a DOP on a short 90-second-long award winning film for best cinematic look. I am keen on capturing the right moment and expressing emotions through cinematography. Working as a photographer helped me to recognise what the image or visual outcome should deliver to the audience in order to develop a relationship between person in the frame and the spectator.
Raised in West London to African and Caribbean parents, I found myself wanting to work in film whilst in a mental institute.
I saw the unity and impact a film of any genre could have on people - and wanted to be part of this impact, leading me to start a YouTube channel to create content and edit videos.
After studying Film for A Levels, I entered the SetReady 2021 programme as a starting point to gain experience practically in film. In my group I work within Sound Design and Editing as well as Key Grip.
Previously I have worked on Sky Atlantic’s Tin Star as a camera Trainee and have spent most of my time working as a photographer and cameraman for a few shorts films.
I want to work in film because I love working on a set and eventually want to become a director and create projects I am proud of and that starts with NYFA.
I am from Liverpool
I've been learning photography and film studies at college which gave be the passion to move towards film. I don't have any experience with film, as I've come from Malta which is a small island that doesn't have these kind of opportunities that NYFA has given me. I want to work with film because I want to be a part of the entertainment and social values that film creates and I would like to do that by being a part Cinematography element.
Writing & Directing is my bread butter and have created two shorts for uni, but I've helped mates out on their student films in roles such as AD, Script Supervisor and Producer. I want to work in film because I have something to say. Slotting myself into a male dominated genre in an already male dominated industry is a challenge I find exciting. I am going to define a space for queer people in film who want to make good stuff. Being a Scouser from a Scottish background meant that I had to be resourceful with my filmmaking. My two films have been created entirely from my family and friends around me. Borrowing, stealing and loaning are things that I feel have only helped show my voice in film.
I’m a crew member from London. I have previous experience working on a variety of different project ranging from music videos, to documentaries and short films. I enjoy the technical sides of film and love watching an idea come to life.
