ABOUT THIS SHOW
King's Speech
Join us for the next Film Talks on 11th March when we'll be discussing The King's Speech with Oscar-winning writer David Seidler.
King George VI tries to overcome his stammering problem with the help of speech therapist Lionel Logue and makes himself worthy enough to lead his country through World War II.
The King's Speech premiered in 2010 and was a global success. Brilliant performances from the likes of Colin Firth, Helena Bonham Carter, and Geoffrey Rush saw the film skyrocket to Oscar success.
The film won four Academy Awards including Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role for Colin Firth, Best Achievement in Directing for
Tom Hooper, Best Motion Picture of the Year and Best Writing for David Seidler.
We're delighted to welcome David to Film Talks and can't wait to have him on the show to talk all about The King's Speech
